Board Profile - Sue Park
Sue Park – BA, Ass. Dip. Social Work, GAICD
Acting Board Chair

Sue Park has had a number of senior leadership roles over the last 25 years including President of Family Services Australia, Member of Board of SACOSS, and of the National Committee of UnitingCare Australia, Chair of the UnitingCare Australia Child, Youth and Family Advisory Committee, currently Sue is Chair of the Board of Access 2 Place Housing.

Sue joined UCWCSA Board after retiring from the position of CEO of UnitingCare Wesley Adelaide in 2010 and currently is Chair of our Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee.

Board Profile - Jo Curkpatrick
Jo Curkpatrick ABC GAICD

Jo is a highly skilled communications practitioner, with more than 25 years’ experience providing marketing, communications and engagement advice and services. She is an internationally accredited business communicator - a designation earned from the International Association of Business Communicators and representing the highest standard of professionalism and ethical conduct.

She is an experienced board director having served on a number of boards including the Grampians Medicare Local and Lake Mountain Alpine Resort Management Board. She is passionate about the value of good communication and engagement to an organisation, especially those in rural, remote and regional Australia.

Board Profile - Rev. Ted White
Rev. Ted White – B Theology
Board Director (2010 – current)

Reverend Ted White is a retired Minister of the Uniting Church and prior to that the Methodist Church.

Ted has served on a number of Synod and Presbytery committees including Pastoral Relations, Placements and Property, Chaired for Presbytery in Tasmania and held Chair and Secretary positions for Presbytery in South Australia.

Currently Ted provides the Chaplaincy role within the local aged care facility.

Bill Othams – LL B
Board Director (2010 current)

Bill Othams has had considerable experience in many different areas of law.

He was admitted as a Legal Practitioner in South Australia in 1975, initially working as a staff solicitor for a Port Augusta law firm before moving to Port Pirie in 1977.

Since then Bill has carried on practice as a lawyer in Port Pirie area.

Lynne Walden – MBA, B Business, CPA

Lynne Walden is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) with extensive senior management experience in Local and State Government, covering finance, corporate and community services areas and also community engagement.

Lynne has assisted several community boards and committees to improve their Governance and Financial management.

Board Profile - Vanessa Boully
Vanessa Boully – JP, FAICD
Board Director (2014 – current)

Vanessa Boully has over 28 years’ board experience holding a number of directorships in Government and the Not for Profit Sector. These include Royal Flying Doctor Service, Country Arts SA and Alliance One Credit Union.

In 1997 Vanessa started her own consultancy business working in partnership to provide career and life skills coaching.

Since 2013 her focus has been on delivering suicide intervention training and has established a community suicide awareness network on the Yorke Peninsula.

Board Profile - Anthea Pavy
Anthea Pavy: B. Soc Work, Ass. Dip. Social Work, GAICD

Anthea Pavy was appointed to the position of CEO in March 2013 and has 25 years’ experience in the non-government sector and delivering social services in rural and remote communities.

Anthea has served on a number of peak bodies and key groups during this time including the South Australian Council of Social Services Policy Council, the UCA National Youth and Family Advisory Council, the Child and Families Welfare Association of South Australia and the National Framework for Protecting Australia’s Children Partnership Group.

Over the past 25 years Anthea has had board experience including chairing the Crystal Brook Hospital Board and the Mid North Regional Health Finance Committee as well being a member of the Mid North Regional Health Board.

Board Profile - Peter Hollister
Peter Hollister GAICD

Peter is passionate about applying strategic thinking to organisational planning and behaviour, to ensure effective use of resources and achievement of goals to benefit the community.

This passion has been a fundamental element of his 17 years of executive level experience in State Government, and his contributions to a range of Board positions (private and government sectors). He has recently concluded a 5 year role as Board Chair of a medium size not-for-profit organisation.

Peter’s qualifications include a B.Sc. (Hons I) Maths, an MBA, a Graduate of the AICD, a Graduate of the Governor’s Leadership Foundation (GLF2011) and a Cert II in Lay Preaching.

Peter’s strengths are in policy development and implementation, strategic planning, governance as well as coordination and management of multi-faceted projects. He is also an accredited lay preacher in the Uniting Church of Australia.
